General Biology Practical I is an introductory laboratory course designed to complement the General Biology theory lectures. The course tests undergraduate students hands-on experience in basic biological techniques and experimental methods including laboratory safety, proper use and care of biological instruments, microscopy, preparation of temporary slides, observation of cells, tissues, and organisms, and simple experiments related to cell biology, genetics, and ecology. Emphasis is placed on developing practical skills, accurate observation, data recording, and scientific reporting, thereby building a strong foundation for advanced biological studies.
